TÜV Rheinland of North America
Spectrum Laboratories Ltd, an International Accreditation New Zealand ISO 17025 approved laboratory is the only Electrical Safety Testing Laboratory in Australasia to become accredited by TÜV Rheinland of North America, Inc headquarted in Newtown, CT.
This means that Spectrum Laboratory customers can obtain key international certification marks for their products such as the TÜV Rheinland GS Mark, which is the most widely recognized certification mark in Europe. In the past decade, members of the European Union have become accustomed to seeing the TÜV Rheinland GS Mark on consumer products, which is a well-respected indicator of compliance with European norms and nation requirements for Germany. The TÜV Rheinland GS Mark also demonstrates Notified Body approval for CE Marking.
In the U.S., a mark from a nationally recognized testing laboratory accredited by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) such as TÜV Rheinland is mandatory for most electrical installations.
The cTÜVus mark is issued by TÜV Rheinland of North America under this accreditation and accepted by authorities and merchants through out the U.S. and Canada.
The cTÜVus mark is the only mark that is needed for the U.S. and Canada in order to gain compliance for both the U.S. and Canadian markets.
